THE DAILY REPORT: The Whole Foods store should be under construction early next year, says George Kurz of Kurz and Hebert Commercial Real Estate, which is leasing space in a new development that surrounds the store. Kurz won't reveal who else is interested in the 48-acre project but will say there is plenty of interest to lease in Towne Center at Cedar Lodge. Whole Foods, an upscale organic grocer from Austin, Texas, should be open for business next fall, said Kurz. A rendering of the 50,000-square-foot store is on the site and utility services are being readied so construction can begin in the new year. Whole Foods, a darling of food lovers, is the fastest-growing grocer in its upscale segment. Creekstone Capital of Houston is building Towne Center and apartments on Corporate Boulevard named The Reserve at Cedar Lodge.
