Towne Center will be more than Whole Foods, women's clothes 10/5/2005 From Baton Rouge Business Report: 10/5/05 Towne Center won't just be a green grocer surrounded by shops catering to women. The luxury shopping center anchored by Whole Foods is getting a men's clothier and a fitness center, says George Kurz, who is leasing the project. He won't disclose the names of tenants, but says he's happy with the mix of retailers in the project. Kurz says developer Creekstone will wait until their is more certainty about the Baton Rouge market post-Katrina before deciding if more retail is in demand at the shopping center on Corporate Boulevard and Jefferson Highway. An undisclosed hotel, more apartments and an office building for State Farm are in the works for the project. < back to news
