A lot at the intersection of Bluebonnet Boulevard and Burbank Drive has been largely cleared to prepare it for future development. Mark Hebert, of Kurz & Hebert Real Estate, who represents the owner, says the plan was to have the land ready for when work starts on the Walmart Supercenter that will be built across the street. "We want to be ready to bring it to market as soon as things turn around," Hebert says. There has been interest in the land from potential tenants, including a pharmacy, bank and convenience store, Hebert says. The Walmart Supercenter has been delayed because of the weak national economy, but the retail giant still owns the property in a fast-growing section of the city. —Timothy Boone |
