Two pizza chains are set to increase their Baton Rouge presence in the next few months. Johnny's Pizza, a Monroe-based chain, will open a location in the Laurel Lea shopping center at Highland Road and Staring Lane in the next 90 days, says Mark Hebert of Kurz & Hebert Commercial Real Estate. This franchise location marks a return to Baton Rouge for Johnny's, which had several locations in the 1980s. The restaurant will offer dine-in and delivery, along with a pickup window. Plans are to open a total of three Capital Region Johnny's. Meanwhile, Hungry Howie's Pizza plans to open its third Capital Region location, on Coursey Boulevard, by June/July. The Michigan-based chain, which specializes in varied crust options, has locations on Nicholson Drive and in Gonzales. |
